Wii homebrew – Quake Wii Piko GX v0.08

quake - Image 1Another version of Quake for the Nintendo Wii has been released by Piko. The new release of Quake Wii Piko GX, which is based on homebrew coder Eluan‘s QuakeGX port, now supports USB keyboard and corrected the previous OSK keyboard delay problem.

wii - Image 1Another version of Quake for the Nintendo Wii has been released by Piko. The new release of Quake Wii Piko GX, which is based on homebrew coder Eluan‘s QuakeGX port, now supports USB keyboard and corrected the previous OSK keyboard delay problem.

Here’s the full changelog of the release:

  • Initial USB Keyboard support. (Note: Some keyboards will cause QuakeWii to hang on start up, if you are stuck at a black screen when you start, unplug your keyboard.)
  • The OSK keyboards repeat delay is now a cvar, you can change it in the configuration file, a menu entry will come soon. Default delay is 0.25 seconds.
