Here’s another new compiled version of QuakeGX, this time courtesy of Ciaran Gillespie. The dev notes that the input.cpp in this release has been rewritten in C and that it has a modified makefile system:

Here is my current version of QuakeGX Wii for devkitppc r16, libogc 1.7.1a, and libfat 1.0.3. Note I’ve rewritten the input.cpp in C, and used more modern WiiUse methods, also simplified the binding method, and made the input more responsive, have to code the dead zone back in. Also I’m using a different makefile system that will create working dol files. Simply enter “make wii”.

Here’s the changelog:

  • Support for Mods and Mission Packs. Some of them may cause out of memory errors for now.
  • Transparent status bar (adjustable)
  • Variable 2D resolution
  • Weapon rotation with the Wiimote (now you can change the yaw, pitch and roll of your weapon)
  • A new menu for adjusting new features
  • Various bugfixes
