Wii video game news and downloads: Wiimote MotionPlus - Image 1I’m pretty excited with what Nintendo has in store for us tomorrow when their press coverage in E3 starts. Here’s a last-minute surprise from them which we can expect to hear more on tomorrow.

The Wii MotionPlus is a new accessory for the Wiimote. Essentially the accessory lets the Wiimote keep more accurate track of a player’s arm position and orientation. No doubt this will attract developers to create new franchises.

The MotionPlus accessory boasts of an “unmatched level of precision and immersion”, according  to the press release, and that it keeps track of “every slight movement” of the wrist or arm, and renders it identically on screen, “providing a true 1:1 true response in […] gameplay.” I’d really like to see it in action in the press coverage tomorrow.
