You all probably know that Nintendo is holding an event in New York today, with one single topic in mind: Everything Wii. This is pretty urgent, and we know you’re all dying for details and info, well, we are getting updates by the minute! This will most probably be THE update to all updates so what do you say we skip the intro and just head on to the facts, eh?
Alright, exactly 9:05 EST, Nintendo opened the doors to the event and started letting people in, and at 9:25, Nintendo reveals that “The worldwide debut of the Wii system happens right here in the Americas — the same place where we debuted Nintendo DS. On November 19, it will be available at more than 25,000 points of distribution across the Americas. And with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $249.99. One price. One configuration. One color.”
40 demo units available today at the event, more than two dozen games. 4 million Wii consoles planned to ship between launch and December 31. Americas get largest share of stock. Box includes hardware, cables, sensor bar, one Wiimote, one nunchuck controller. 30 games to be retailed during the launch and will all cost $49.99 each. Excite Truck ready for Wii launch.
