Wii VC PAL gets Castlevania II, Gate of Thunder, World Heroes
The PAL Virtual Console community will be getting Hudson Soft’s Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest (NES), Red Entertainment’s Gate of Thunder (Turbografx-CD) and SNK’s World Heroes (Neo Geo) for their Nintendo Wii this week.
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest breaks away from the linear gameplay of the first Castlevania and features a single continuous map as well as some RPG elements. So far there has been no announced price for this title, though we can expect it to cost around 500 to 600 Wii points.
Gate of Thunder is a side scrolling shooter popular to many retro gamers. This video game holds the distinction of being the first TurboGrafx-CD game released on the Virtual Console. It can be downloaded for 800 Wii points.
Finally we have World Heroes, a video game originally released for the Neo Geo. This fighting game has characters based on popular historical figures such as Rasputin, Joan of Arc, and even Hulk Hogan. If you plan to download this, expect it to be priced around 900 Wii points.
