WiiControlmod helps keep your Wii cool
Console mod site Xtremtuner has revealed a nifty little mod that will help Wii owners control the temperature of their consoles. The mod is called WiiControl. It’s an external user interface that kicks in to activate the Nintendo Wii video game console’s fan when the console hits a certain temperature. It’s quite useful in preventing overheating while the Wii is in standby mode.
There’s also an “acoustic” (we’re guessing audible) signal that will let users know if there’s a danger of overheating due to a defective fan, a bad connection, or some other reason. WiiControl also has an optional feature that will let user disable the modchip. Check out the images and the vid below for a closer look at it.
