WiiDoom v0.3: saving, loading, automap, support for PWAD
Wiibrew developer lnuxguy has released a new version of WiiDoom. In case you haven’t guessed from the name of the program, it’s a port of the classic Doom game for the Wii. A lot of new features were added to this version of the program, including saving and loading, automap, and preliminary PWAD support. Details after the link.

Wiibrew developer lnuxguy has released a new version of WiiDoom. In case you haven’t guessed from the name of the program, it’s a port of the classic Doom game for the Wii.
A lot of new features were added to this version of the program, including saving and loading, automap, and preliminary PWAD support. Here’s the changelog for WiiDoom v0.3 from the author:
- Saving/Loading works (using Nintendo-style save slots)
- Messages are now correctly displayed on screen
- Automap works (panning, zooming, and follow mode)
- Boot.dol distributed instead of Boot.elf (much smaller file)
- Preliminary PWAD support (one wad at a time)
