Wiinja V2 fw running on Datel’s Drive Doctor: Modchip workaround?

The Botch mod site over in Russia has just made known that they are now providing for a variation of Team Ninja’s Wiinja modchip v2 firmware. What makes this particular fw special is that the TikTok n Botch team have modified it to run with Datel‘s Wii Drive Doctor device.

For the guys unfamiliar with the Drive Doctor, it’s a Wii gadget that, once properly soldered onto your console, allows you to monitor your console’s systems status via their PC using a USB link. The Drive Doctor also carries a PC app that allows users to punch in their own inputs into any running software on the Wii.

The Wiinja v2 adaptation is coded into installed via this said app.

And while details are still sketchy for the moment, TikTok ‘n Botch states that the fw upload worked without a hitch, effectively turning the developer’s tool into a customizable modchip. That’s all the info we’ve got for the moment, although the team also indicate that they’re planning to upload Drive Doctor versions of Wiinja Deluxe, and Xeno GC in later updates.
