Will WoW be neglected because of Starcraft II?

 

There have been a lot of threads from worried World of Warcraft players regarding the announcement of Starcraft 2: will WoW be neglected now that Blizzard Entertainment is busy with StarCraft 2? While some might feel that this is concern is “a bit childish,” there are others who believe that this is a concern that needs to be addressed.

Blizzard poster Nethaera has given some comforting words in the forums saying that “WoW will not be neglected and development continues on it independent of development on Starcraft 2.” Aside from her post, a lot of players have responded saying that WoW is earning too much revenue for it to be neglected.

Of course, the opposite camp has given reasons for why Blizzard would neglect the said MMORPG. They have cited the four months which have gone by without any patches.

And a third camp has popped up saying that the game has been neglected from the get-go.

So where does this leave most of the casual WoW players? Well, Blizzard has promised support through its community representatives, so we can expect that. As for those who think the game is being neglected, we hope Blizzard addresses this section of the community as soon as possible.
