Gamers, here’s good news: Will Wright‘s Spore (PC, Mac, Wii, Nintendo DS, Mobile) now has a definite release date, and we can now finally stop guessing when the game will come out. Sure, the date may be several months away but at least we now have a something real to look forward to. Find out Spore’s actual release date in the full article!
Finally, after waiting for a long time, the much-awaited life simulation game Spore now has a definite release date. According to publisher Electronic Arts and game developer Maxis, Spore will be released on September 7 for the PC, Nintendo DS, Macs, and Mobile. It’s just about time, we say, after trying to guess when the game will be released, and reading about analyst speculations of even further delays. No word yet on when the Nintendo Wii version will be released.
For those who haven’t heard of Spore yet, it’s a game that lets players develop and evolve simple lifeforms (we’re talking about single-celled creatures here) into complex animals. You can shape and create worlds, and create tribes from the creatures you have developed, and even come up with UFOs should you wish it.
According to Will Wright, Chief Designer of Maxis and creator of Spore, the game is already in its final testing stages. “The wait is almost over…the team at Maxis canÂ’t wait to see the cosmos of content created by the community later this year.”
