Apple has released a new version of its iCloud photo library export tool for Google Photos. The company also offers a similar tool to export Apple Music playlists onto YouTube Music. Apple offers the new Apple Music Playlist Transfer feature on its Data and Privacy page as part of the data export tools. Apple published a new document on Tuesday that revealed the details. The process is simple. Log in to the Data and Privacy section of Apple’s website. The Apple Music playlist will appear when you select “Transfer a Copy of Your Data”. To use this tool, the user must have an active Apple Music subscription or iTunes Match subscription. Of course, a YouTube Music account is required. Once the transfer is complete, an email will be sent to the user. The synced playlists appear under the Library tab of YouTube Music. The tool has some limitations, such as songs that are not available on YouTube Music will not sync. This is not a file synchronization service, so no files will be transferred. It’s more like other sync services, which match song titles. Apple Music curated Playlists such as ALT CTRL and collaborative playlists created by other users will not sync. Podcasts and audio files from old iTunes libraries that don’t contain music will not transfer. There is no tool that allows users to transfer playlists and libraries from other services.
