Wolves and lava on the Wii’s Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
So Link’s come to this whole new town to save the world (or some Zelda lady) from some evil force (probably Ganondorf) whilst using his tested sword techniques and archery skills. We want to see something new! Something Link presumably hasn’t done before! Something…
He turns into a wolf, you say?
Interesting… So he’s a lycanthrope then? That means werewolf… no, not like Michael J. Fox in “Teen Wolf”. Well, maybe a little bit.
Fine! You know what, maybe you should leave the explaining to me. According to my imaginary friend here, Link gets to turn into a wolf every so often as part of the game mechanic. He’s not as light-colored as Okami’s Amaterasu, but he’s still very cool. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is hoping this new wrinkle in the gameplay will draw in more players, as well as present some new challenges to the green-garbed veteran adventurer.
To celebrate his advent on Nintendo’s new console, here are two new clips of the grown-up sword-slinger. In the first one, he’s using his wolf form to lay the smackdown on some monstrous beasts. In the other, we get to see Link do some acrobatic sword-fighting against fiery foes as he tries to get past a lot of lava.
Oh, and my imaginary friend is inviting you to enjoy the videos. The sappy sod.
