Nooooo! Fido’s in there!

War is hell, for attack dogs and humans alike. Just because dogs happen to be cuddlier than humans doesn’t mean that they were spared the horrors of war. Activision has responded back to PETA‘s complaint about killing hostile attack dogs in Call of Duty: World at War (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS), saying:

In order to create believable, real-world scenes and heighten the game playing experience, Call of Duty: World at War depicts the ruthless and gritty combat of World War II.

Dogs are included in the game for authenticity since they were used extensively by German, Japanese, U.S. and Soviet troops during the war. Activision in no way endorses or condones cruelty to animals, and we donÂ’t believe the game will encourage cruelty in any way.

Cooking Mama then burst into the scene and made vegetarian dishes for everybody. And they all lived happily ever after.
