Word up! Join BBC’s PS3 launch coverage

Jimmy Fallon Tina Fey

“Hi, I’m Jimmy Fallon.”
“And I’m Tina Fey. And here are tonight’s top stories…”

The BBC is giving all of you gamers the chance to become a reporter for a day. Or at least a BBC writer for a day. Yes, those people above are from SNL and not from the BBC. We know that! We just really like Tina Fey, OK?

Anyway, the BBC wants some first-hand accounts from the gamers themselves. They’re inviting gamers in Japan and the U.S. to join their coverage of the PS3 launch on November 11 and 17, respectively.

Two lucky gamers from each of the two countries will be picked to answer BBC’s questions like:

  • Can the PS3 beat the acclaimed Xbox 360?
  • Have the reports of problems and delays damaged the brand?
  • Can the console ever live up to the hype?

We know some of you guys can already easily answer some of these questions. A lot of you have already voiced out your thoughts in the forums and comments. And from the comments we’ve been reading, we think that QJ readers have what it takes to fill in those two spots for the U.S. (and Japan). Just make sure you guys don’t introduce yourselves in your applications with a “1st post FTW!!oneeneoen!1exclamationpointz” kind of statement. We’re not sure if that will get you far…

So, you guys think you’re an avid gamer and can meet up to the BBC standards? May the best gamer win!
