Work on second-gen Apple Vision Pro &, new clever spectacles is progressing
Apple Vision, a less expensive and lighter product, could arrive as soon as 2025.
Apple is working to develop a cheaper version of the Apple Vision Pro, as well as a newer model. They are also researching a smart glasses-type device. Bloomberg has published a report that outlines two headsets in the future: a second generation model of the Apple Vision Pro and a cheaper headset which may be called the “Apple Vision.” The latter product could be available as early as 2025. The company continues to examine another category, the “smart glass” area which is currently defined by Meta’s $329 and up smart Ray Ban sunglasses. Apple’s version, which could be called “Apple Glass,” is not on a timetable, just like the second generation Apple Vision Pro. According to the report the idea to turn the glasses-style product into a true augmented reality product has been “tabled due to technical difficulties.” This could delay the launch of “Apple Glass”, a product that is similar to the Apple Vision Pro or projected “Apple Vision” headsets. Mark Gurman, a reporter, believes that the “Apple Vision” product should cost $1,500 to attract more customers. It is unclear what changes could be made to the cheaper “Apple Vision”, to lower the price. One option is to make future headsets lighter, as the weight of the Apple Vision Pro is one of its main critics, along with the price.
