For those of us currently enjoying the RTS smorgasbord that is Massive Entertainment and Sierra Entertainment‘s World in Conflict for the PC and the Xbox 360, then here’s some very good news: the latest update, Update 7, is now out, and it’s looking pretty swell in terms of fixing some very annoying bugs. If you want a smoother ride with this strategy game that’s all about war in contemporary times, then this should be right up your download list.

Here’s the changelog for this latest patch:

  • Fixed a bug where a bridge on do_Hometown could stop working after being repaired several times
  • Fixed a bug where the results of a clan match could be reported for the wrong clan
  • Fixed a bug where the wrong number of players online were shown on the Clan Challenge screen

Do note that this is just a hotfix, as the bugs above while seemingly minor really do interrupt gameplay – so we can probably expect a bigger, more all-encompassing upgrade when the next World in Conflict patch rolls out. In the meantime, you can download the actual patch by clicking on the via link below and finding the proper patch relevant to your country’s version. Good hunting!
