World of Warcraft Hunters: quiver or no quiver?
We believe that for pet-loving Hunters, that is the question. Quivers have the annoying issue of having to occupy one backpack slot, depriving you of a potential 16 bag slots of space. It is true that the quiver manually reloads the Hunter’s bow on occasion (when the feature actually works) and grants an increase to your Rate of Fire from 10% to 15%, but is the bonus worth it?
It would really depend on your playing style. Would you rather have more stackable slots of general inventory space, or one DPS bonus-granting quiver with only around 18 ammo slots?
If you’re into making more money and questing than anything else, you may favor extra farming space, although you will lack attack speed and will have to manually reload your bow’s ammo cache.
If you’re into dealing favorable damage in the least amount of time and taking down mobs before they can get to you, the quiver is your best bet. After all, you could settle for other damage bonus items to decrease the need for extra ammunition. For Raid guilds and Arena matches, DPS is a requirement. And as waxxy Hunter Nethaera said, “It looks pretty good on your back too.”
Until Blizzard runs out of meshes and names for bows, you won’t be carting around ammo wagons for your shoulder-mounted Mangonels and Ballistae. So for now, a quiver looks just right for the budding marksman. Wouldn’t you agree?
