World of Warcraft: Maiden of Virtue wipes not a random factor

The Maiden of Virtue in Karazhan - Image 1The titan Maiden of Virtue may look like one of those bosses with a penchant for wiping Raids by chance, but that really isn’t so. Word around some parts of the off-site World of Warcraft communities is that the Maiden of Virtue can randomly wipe a Raid instance with her Holy Fire and Holy Shock auras.

It may look that way, but she is no Harbinger Skyriss. Her skill damage effects just happen to be aided by debuff spells aimed at the more vital members of your Raid, especially the dedicated healers. So it’s not just about positioning and heal spell spamming, it’s also about dispelling her buffs on members that matter most.

So while your ranged DPS hammers her down to a more manageable life gauge, allowing the tank to create some space for the rest of the party to stand some distance from the fireworks, your party should also have one eye for the party life meters and one eye looking for debuff stats.

Discouraging the Maiden of Virtue from stacking more damage on the party will leave lesser healing work for the healer, and give him or her more time to dispel debuffs.
