World of Warcraft Patch 2.1.0 now live on PTR!
Heralding the arrival of the next major patch in World of Warcraft, patch 2.1.0 has been applied to the Public Test Realm and is currently undergoing the test (and feedback) phase of the patch, just to make sure that everything’s all and well before it hops on over to all of the realms.
Unfortunately for some, the early PTR patching doesn’t mean that the patch could be coming early. With more than 20 long posts (two pages worth) of changes, there’s a lot of ground to cover for the PTR players and devs. So if you’ve got the time, download the new client and copy over your favorite avatars over to the PTR installation. Feel free to test the numerous issues you’ve asked Blizzard to fix.
But first, you might want to sift through 22 posts of patch notes to find those specific fixes first. It’s one thing to jump right in and find that a certain issue still hasn’t been addressed by Big Blue and another to jump in knowing the issue that has been corrected and trying it out.
And remember: the more cooperative everyone is, the faster the patch transition from PTR to live realms can be. That’s true only if no new major issue comes out from the changes applied, however. The 2.1.0 Patch notes can be reached by clicking on the “Read” link below.
