World of Warcraft: Shade of Aran hotfix follow-up

Shade of Aran - Image 1Today, dragon-flapping blue Blizzard poster Eyonix has followed up with some World of Warcraft hotfix details regarding the Shade of Aran.

Beneficial immunity effects from abilities such as Ice Block and Divine Shield will no longer cause the Shade of Aran’s explosion effect from Flame Wreath to proc when the duration has faded.

This is in light of a rather confusing hotfix earlier last month for Shade of Aran on the 2.0.10 patch. Back then, it was explained with a somewhat vague “Flame Wreath will allow players to remain in the flame while immune, without [processing] the effect.”

To flashback a bit, the World of Warcraft 2.0.10 patch did include something about the Shade of Aran. Under the “Raids and Dungeons” section of the patch notes, we find that “The use of Divine Shield, Ice Block, or Cloak of Shadows will no longer prematurely detonate the Shade of Aran’s Flame Wreath.”

While all three statements looks the same, at least this time, they’re the real deal!
