A new updated has been released today by Blizzard for World of Warcraft, which carries with it a new 3D model viewer, character feed and calendar feed features.

Let’s delve a bit closer to these new features, shall we? First, the character feed. This one essentially lets you add a live, filterable feed of achievements, boss kills, and other stuff to your selected RSS reader. Meanwhile, the Calendar feed feature lets you export character calendars (maximum of five) to online calendars (ie. Google Calendar). Apart from that, you can even update this automatically every time your in-game calendar receives new item.

Now for the 3D Model lets you do a complete rendering of the character. It even has a whole lot of display options for your choice:

  • Camera—This feature will allow you to reposition the viewpoint on the character of choice, and also adjust his/her position on the screen.
  • Animation—This feature will allow you to force the character to perform a variety of different animations, as per some of the in-game emotes.
  • Capture Pose—This feature will allow you to freeze the character, in the case of a character you own, in a specific position which will be displayed to anyone who visits the armory profile for your character.
  • Embed—This feature will allow you to embed an interactive version of your character into any website that supports embedded content.
  • Full Screen Mode—This feature will allow you to view the character in a full screen backdrop.

While some of you may think it unnecessary, it’s still good to know that the option is there if ever you wake up one day and you realize you’d like to knock yourself out modeling your character in 3D.
