Worldly box art alert: Star Ocean PSP boxes just plain awesome
It may look like something’s completely way off-kilter with the image to your left, but no, that’s just the way it’s cropped. Check out the full box art for both Star Ocean PSP remakes in the full article and you’ll see the whole world differently. I pinky-swear to it!
Man oh man. Talk about well designed box covers! I’ve seen other forms of media do the same; DVD covers, book covers, graphic novels… Now comes Square Enix‘s North American box art for Star Ocean: First Departure and Star Ocean: Second Evolution. Check it out (click the thumb for maximum damage!):
The design goes with the general story arc of both games too! And how’s that for some great marketing ploy, eh? Now it’s going to be pretty difficult to own just one game. You’d be hard pressed to not complete the “overall” box art image.
The Star Ocean port/remakes of the original PSOne titles are headed to the PSP soon. First Departure lands on October 12, with Second Evolution following a few months after that, on January 6.
