Worms dev admits AI, online problems
After a barrage of complaints from players regarding the AI and online issues in Worms, Team 17 has finally admitted that yes, there is something wrong with the game’s AI.
Apparently, all of the timings for the Xbox 360 version’s AI are still based on the PSP version’s processor. That accounts for the incredibly long waiting periods until the AI finally does something. According to Xboxic, a Team 17 rep said on the Xbox.com forums that “although it is not, and never has been, deliberately slow, it is, on the 360, slower than it should be.”
Kudos to Team 17 for actually fessing up to their mistake. The same Team 17 rep also said that while he couldn’t promise a fix, a patch is coming out that will hopefully address all of the game’s problems with online connectivity.
