WoW: AV mod pack update for Absolute Vikings

av mod

Shandrai has update his World of Warcraft AV (Absolute Vikings) mod pack for PvE, PvP, good for all classes + more for all you AV guild members out there. This addon pack can give you some advantage in battle plus a lot of info about fights, flights, timers for different things or adding some features.

Addons, says Shandrai, can make playing WoW more “laggy” especially if you have an old or slow computer so he says don’t add too many add too many addons. He recommends that you use only the addons that you think are the best ones. But if you a powerful PC Shandrai strongly recommends you to use all addons in this pack.

The easiest way to update to this addon pack is to delete all addons in your addons folder and drag all addons from the ‘other addons’ folder and the ones you want from the ‘class addons’ folder into you addons folder. It should be located here: C:ProgramWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddons. If you haven’t got a addons folder then create a folder and name it addons. place it in your interface folder. Got that?

Shandrai included a very long and very useful explanation about this addon pack which is a must-read if you’re thinking of using it.

The pack has updated the following:

  • X-Perlunitframes
  • ScrollingCombatText and SCT_options
  • Gmail
  • BigWigs
  • ORA2
  • sRaidFrames
  • Oskin
  • Chronometer
  • Bartender2
  • Antagonist
  • GuildEventManager

Remember: About the big memory usage: I know that I have quite high memory usage on the pictures but there is two big reasons:
1. Auctioneer take alot of memory usage so don’t use it if you have a slow computer, use KC_items instead.
2. Many addons in this pack use something called ACE2. I have read that things that display memory usage shows a higher memory usage than it really is.

You can look in the readme file for some information about all addons in this addon pack.

I recommend you to search for the addons you want to know more about at ui.worldofwar.net or Curse-Gaming

How to install:
drag the addons you want to your addon folder. it should be located here: C:ProgramWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddons
if you haven’t got a addons folder then create a folder and name it addons. place it in your interface folder.

Here are some important things you may wang to take note of when you login for the first time with this addon pack:

OtraviCastingBar
Type ‘/ocb’ for options. I recommend you to type ‘/ocb bar height 20’ to make it look better. Type /ocb unlock and drag it to the place you want it to be. Then type ‘/ocb lock’ to lock it.

sRaidFrames
While in raid for the first time after downloading this, the raid frames may be quite annoying. type /srf or click on the FuBar button to configure them. I think it’s best to make them a bit smaller by scaling them and move them to a better position, something else that could be good is to use the option xperl-unitframes offer: don’t show party in raid.

ZhunterMod
If you’re a hunter and use ZHunterMod then type ‘/sht’ to bring up the options panel for sorren’s hunter timers and choose to not display a aimed shot bar because ZHunterMod already does that. Type /zhunter for some options and drag the aspect/trap/track buttons with the mouse when holding Alt. type ‘/ztrap’
‘/ztrack’ or ‘/zaspect’ for more options.

SimpleTranqShot
If you’re a hunter then type ‘/stranq’ for some options for the traq shot mod.

Auctioneer
type ‘/auctioneer always load’ to make it load automatically every time you login.

MetaMap
When you open your map it will be very small. click on the options button and choose to scale it to make it bigger.

Antagonist
Type /ant for more options. I recommend you to type /ant anchors to move them to a better position.

Chronometer
type /chron for more options. I recommend you to make the a bit bigger by scaling them(atleast I thought they were very small, could have something to do with the memory suage) and type /chron anchors to move them.

AutoBuff
Don’t forget to drag the AB(autobuff) button to a good location and click on it to choose wich spells you want to autobuff.

FuBar
Right Click on the FuBar for many options. i don’t like how it looks when you login at all. it’s very easy to change.

Scrolling Combat Text
I think the scrolling combat text is too big but i don’t know if many others think so but anyway… type ‘/sct’ for options.

Minimap buttons…
it can be very messy around your minimap with all these addons. try to bring up the options menu by clicking on them and choose their position around the minimap.

________________________________________________________________________________

I start with the guild addons: here is some addons that you need in my guild: Guild event manager and ORA2, BigWigs, and detox for all classes that can remove debuffs.
I also added some other addons that is great if the guild use but it’s not a must: simpletranqshot, gatherer, gatherer share, gatherersync and guildmatemap.

Guildeventmanager

ORA2

BigWigs

Detox:(all classes that can remove debuffs)

________________________________________________________________________________

Next folder i will tell you about is for classes, here it is the addons that i think is the best ones for each class.

Serenity (priest)
DeShift (druid)
Necrosis (warlock)
Cryolysis (mage)
servitude (warlock)
SimpleFeignHealth (hunter)
SmartPet (hunter and warlock)
TauntBuddy (warrior)
Zhuntermod (hunter)
ICU (hunter and druid cat form)
SimpleTranqShot (hunter)

You can find Serenity(priest), Necrosis(warlock) and cryolysis(mage) in the optional deps section.

They were quite big and i don’t think you should have to wait longer to download this addon pack just because the warlocks, mages and priests would get something that they had to download and everyone else had to suffer extra download time.

The next folder I will tell you about is the recommended/other/misc addons folder. This folder also contains two LUA files(mods with saved data) but I will tell you about them at the end of the part of this addon folder:

Bartender2

FruityLoots
ScrollingCombatText(SCT)

For More FuBar plugins, Go to wowinterface
_______________________________________________________________________________

Now I will tell you about how to install the LUA files: Drag the files into C:ProgramWorld of WarcraftWTFAccount and choose your account. Then drag the files into the folder named savedvariables. And that was all, very easy.
You will now have a big database of items and a database of NPCs and a lot of informative notes on the map.
I have taken the MetaMap LUA file from the addon pack GrimPack.
________________________________________________________________________________

Now to the unitframes: X-PerlUnitframes are easily the best one I know! When you login at the first time with it it’s ready to be used but but I recommend you to look in the options menu for anything you want to change. I think you don’t need that target’starget unitframe. To move them, you must have the options menu open and when it is, just drag them to the position you want!.

Plus: they’re 3d animated so the portraits will be moving!
If you don’t want this just go to the options menu.
