WoW: Engineering gets nothing this 2.2 patch, players miffed
In Blizzard‘s World of Warcraft, a lot of Engineers had big hopes for patch 2.2. Some of them even felt that they were promised new stuff that would be implemented in the said patch. Unfortunately, their hopes were dashed when they got nothing.
Because of this, there was a recent thread on the WoW Forums which stated: “CMs lie again; 2.2 engineers get NOTHING”. They were referring to a quotation from Nethaera before which referred to new content that the Engineers were going to get. The moderator said that,
We’re working on getting one together for everyone. We want to remind everyone that what you see will only be the start of things and there will be more added in over a period of time. Everything new isn’t going to be added in just one patch.
Of course Nethaera answered these allegation in a pretty timely manner. The forum moderator mentioned that all professions were being looked at over time and that Engineering hasn’t been forgotten. It was also said that “this is actually an on-going process and more will be worked on for all of the professions”.
So who’s right and who’s wrong? We can’t really say at this point, but both sides make valid arguments. Perhaps this case of misunderstanding can serve as a reminder of how important trust between GMs and players is. Hopefully, this issue will get resolved pretty quickly.
