WoW Europe: Children’s Week now in realms

A thread at World of Warcraft Europe‘s official forums has just indicated that the long-awaited Children’s Week event is now implemented for the realms, in line with the release of game patch 2.1.

Now, in case you aren’t too familiar with this event, Children’s Week is a special quest series for both Horde and Alliance members which normally takes place at the start of May. The objective of this quest chain is for the heroes of Azeroth (that’s you) to dedicate their time to looking after an in-game orphan child. Rewards for this quest include exclusive pets and a warm, fuzzy feeling for the next few weeks…not to be mistaken for the succubus’ seduction spell…

Now, in case you’re a first-time participant, Alliance members begin their Children’s Week in Stormwind, after meeting Orphan Matron Nightingale. The quest chain will take players through a visit of the bank in Darnassus,  the lighthouse in Westfall, and a meeting with Jaina Proudmore in Theramore. The Horde version will begin in Orgrimmar, after meeting Orphan Matron Battlewail. The quest chain will take them through a visit of the Mor’shan Rampart, the Lordaeron Throne Room, and Cairne Bloodhoof in Thunder Bluff.

Higher level players can also take part in the second (and new) version of Children’s Week, which begins in Shattrath City in the Outlands.
