The Blizzard CM office must be stocked full of Tylenol. Well, ever since the patchnotes for patch 2.0.10 was released, the World of Warcraft Forums have turned into a great pit of wailing and gnashing of teeth.
As do our daily forums surfing, it seems that everywhere we turn we see... ahhh... discontent, especially from the Druid forums. We see the forum moderators working overtime (Coreiel, for example) as they work to clean up the forums. Trollers, beware. We especially liked this one: Troll posts like this are a fast track to the loss of your forum privileges. During your vacation from the forums, please contemplate the meaning of "trolling" as defined by our Code of Conduct. Thanks!
The Druid forums have come under attack both from "positive" threads, celebratory (those who are happy that the bear form is being nerfed), and QQers. The Blizzard blue posters are probably still busy cleaning up the threads, but they are kind enough to answer some druid questions like the date of the patch and whether the changes to the druid class are still subject to change. Vaneras answers:
I am currently unable to answer those questions, but we will of course post that information as soon as we have those answers. But I would like to comment on the second question that things are constantly under evaluation. Things will be buffed or nerfed if the developers feels that something needs to be changed or adjusted, and that is unfortunately a necessary evil when you are dealing with a game that is being continuously developed and never really finishes. In regards to the planned changes for the Bear Form in particular, it is of course possible that things might change somewhat still before the patch is launched, that is what the PTRs are for anyway, but please try not to raise your expectations that the planned changes might get cancelled and completely withdrawn.
Oh well, this uproar probably won't die down until Blizzard devs give definite answers. Or until the patch goes live - whichever comes first.
