WoW Forums: talent respeccing changes?

World of Warcraft Respeccing - Image 1When we came across a particular thread in the World of Warcraft Forums, we were first gripped with disbelief, then the downright confusion. A player named Murlourin proposed that the respec costs be increased and tagged respec with a 24 hour cooldown.

Why? According to the player in question, “People need to take a spec and just go for it”. After getting a couple of not so flattering comments from the other players, Blizzard poster Bornakk stepped in and answered the request:

Currently we feel that the respec cost for talents is at a good amount. There are people who spend the time to do the daily quests and cover the costs for this on a regular basis, but we like leaving this choice up to the players.

During the panels at BlizzCon we did mention a number of class changes weÂ’d like to make that would reduce the frequency of talent respecs, but we have to wait until those changes are ready to provide details on them.

Hmm, what do you think? Do you agree with the suggestions Murlourin made? We’re sure players will be a bit torn about this issue, and the players who do other things than what they’ve originally specced for (PvP, questing, raiding, etc). We’ll keep you posted on more details on this so keep checking back for more World of Warcraft updates.
