WoW Forums: What were the level reqs for instances again?

WoW logo - Image 1Here’s an old topic that’s getting a bit of clarification – instance level requirements. Muatahanu over at the World of Warcraft official forums started a thread requesting for information on the requisite levels for WoW‘s instances, or at least specifically for the Sunken Temple instance.

Replies and suggestions to the inquiry varied, with most guys assuming that the minimum level was pegged somewhere in the 30s. What makes the discussion a little puzzling – and amusing – is that even Blizzard spokesman Drysc seemed confused over the level requisite:

The classic dungeon run-down on our site says “44-60” but whether that’s recommended or an actual minimum I’m not sure. I wasn’t able to find anything more concrete or stating a different level range than the above. If you travel there and try to jump in it’ll tell you what level you need to be if you’re not high enough, but the trip to the instance may not be worth the risk without a body guard.

That said, forums poster Pinnacle further replied with this list of instances, and their corresponding (assumed) level requisites:

  • RageFire Chasm-13
  • Deadmines-20
  • Wailing Caverns-20
  • Stockades-25
  • Shadowfang Keep-24
  • Blackfathom Deeps-26
  • Gnomeregan-30
  • Razorfen Kraul-30
  • SM Graveyard-31
  • SM Library-33
  • SM Armory-35
  • SM Cath-40
  • Razorfen Downs-40
  • Uldaman-45
  • Zul’ Farrak-47
  • Maraudon-50
  • Sunken Temple-52
  • Blackrock Depths-55

That’s a basic summary of the ongoing discussion. Guys interested in reading up on the full discussion can click on the source link below for more details.
