WoW: Free character migration on select servers from July 16 to July 22
Players in World of Warcraft based in the realms Grim Batol, Stonemaul, or Warsong have been given the option to migrate to Agamaggan, Daggerspine, or Spinebreaker at no charge. This free character transfer will be available from July 16 to July 22.
Blizzard Poster Thundgot on the Europe WoW Forums gave word that this is being implemented because of “population differences between the highest and lowest populated PvP realms.” If you plan on taking advantage of this, you should do it as soon as possible since the migration can be closed at any time if a destination realm’s population rises too high.
Players in the said servers should get ready for a massive population change. Whether this move will actually have a positive effect on the gameplay balance remains to be seen. Regardless, here’s hoping for the best. More updates on this as it happens.
