WoW: Noted bug for Honor system

PvP

It goes without saying that much has been flamed said regarding the new honor points for World of Warcraft‘s PvP system. Just recently, players have spotted a bug, this time regarding your estimated honor display.

Players have been reporting that every time their estimated honor hits the 6554-mark, the counter resets to zero. The good news is that your actual accumulated honor’s still there, it’s just the display conking out. So, for example, if your counter has already reset and you’re currently reading 3,446, it means you’ve now got accumulated an estimate of 10,000 honor points.

In a related discussion, WoW Insider also explained the reasoning behind the estimates – what’s wrong with giving an exact count of honor points? As Mike Schramm explains: “The reason is for diminishing returns: the server can calculate how many times you killed someone, but not who and when, so diminishing returns aren’t showing up in estimated honor.”

With that little detail out of the way, feel free to resume your raids, quests and dance numbers...
