WoW: “Return of the Rockstar’ jammin’ vid
Everybody wants to be a hero. Look at World of Warcraft, for example. Every dude there’s out to do one thing – make a name for themselves, such that it shall be exalted in fame (or infamy) in the hallowed halls of the game’s realm, and upon the mouths of many a GM and game dev. Suddenly, Goon Squad comes to mind…
Now, here’s the problem. When everybody’s out to do the same thing, be it be the most bad-ass player this side of the Alliance or Horde, you’ll end up with a gaming population all out to do the same thing, and once again this cycle of becoming a hero begins anew, sort of like how the modern revolutionary’s flaw is that they don’t have anything to rebel against…pretty self-defeating.
Which leads us to this video. Forget the usual dudes who brand themselves as heroes – the guy in this vid’s apparently gone the beaten path, and taken the title of the game’s only…Rockstar. Click on the video to see this dud jammin’ on PvP.
