WoW: Server maintenance details

The Burning Crusade

Server maintenance time people, and while we can imagine the groans coming from you guys, somebody has to tell the bad news. On the upside, it’s in preparation for the “Before the Storm” patch we’re sure you guys have been waiting for, though you might want to double check some stuff before making the leap.

Now, getting back to the updates, Drysc over at the World of Warcraft forums has just explained that during the maintenance, all free character transfers systems will be disabled. He was also gracious enough to draw up a list of the free transfer that will be hit – expect them to reopen again in a week, with an additional week being given to current transfers as soon as they put them back online. Expect the update to end Wednesday, December 6, 1:00 p.m.

Well, here’s the list:

  • Bronzebeard –> Hyjal
  • Aggramar –> Kael’thas
  • Alexstrasza –> Muradin
  • Thrall –> Norgannon
  • Gnomeregan –> Kilrogg
  • Warsong –> Dentarg
  • Aerie Peak –> Uther
