WoW stand-up comedy? Not exactly gold…

World of Warcraft and stand-up comedy. We never thought we’d see the day, but apparently, we were quite wrong. Rosacrutian, a “level 35 undead warlock” from the Moonrunner server, stepped onto a real-world stage to perform a five-minute comedy routine… about World of Warcraft.

It’s weird, and you might get a laugh or two, but otherwise, we’re not sure what to think. Mostly because his routine is read straight off pieces of paper at some points, but also because there’s an uncomfortable notion behind this: World of Warcraft doesn’t translate very well into a non-cosplayed comedy routine with just one guy.

Still, we give him props for guts. He not only put this up on YouTube, but also had the guts to write a love letter to Shannen Doherty, supposedly an avid WoW player. As with anything related to Shannen Doherty, expect some swearing in the video, even if none of it came from her. As an added bonus, he gave props to Gawell of Archimonde, the first level 70 character in all of Burning Crusade.

We’re glad that Rosacrutian of the Moonrunner server was put up to this by his friend, or we’d really just have to make level one alts to spam his in-game mailbox with constructive criticism on his stand-up routine. Of course, we’d probably add a copper piece to these mails, just to give him a penny for his thoughts.
