Maiev Shadowsong, priestess to Elune, warden to Illidan Stormrage. From its noble beginnings to its enigmatic end, Maiev’s journey to capture Illidan is the stuff of legend, representing one of the many epics found in the World of Warcraft.
At first driven by a genuine sense of duty to bring the Betrayer to justice, Maiev’s hardships and tragic losses in this ever-fleeting chase eventually eat away at the fibre of her being, leaving her, even in her last moments (according to the books, at least) consumed by blind vengeance. Was this truly the end of one of the most remarkable personalities in World of Warcraft lore?
Apparently not so, and courtesy of WoW radio, it seems we’ll be looking at another glimpse of where Illidian’s warden now lies – herself a prisoner in Shadowmoon Valley. Expect more as The Burning Crusades expansion goes through its Beta phase. Enjoy.
