WoW: Wrath of the Lich King will not offer plastic surgery
A discussion in the World of Warcraft forums tackled ugly avatars. Well, it does happen. Slashmoo asked whether or not he can change his avatar’s appearance in Wrath of the Lich King.
Apparently, Slashmoo’s undead priest is “damn ugly.” Comforted a bit with the knowledge that hairstyles can be changed, it’s then asked if anything else can be changed. Or maybe everything else.
Blizzard poster Nethaera responded, saying that the feature won’t be available in the near future, and quite possibly the far future as well:
No, sorry. We don’t have any plans for any plastic surgeons at this point in time. Perhaps finding a suitably deep cowl would help.
So there you go. An avatar can change their hairdos (maybe make an Elvis Night Elf), but you’ll have to be happy with the skin you chose to be born with. If a trip to the salon should prove insufficient, perhaps a fashion makeover would suffice, or perhaps a very big club you can threaten other people with.
