WoW’s Midsummer Fire Festival
If you’re looking for something to do in Blizzard‘s World of Warcraft other than the usual level grind, then check out the Midsummer Fire Festival. It starts today and will run through to July 5, covering Azeroth with countless brilliant bonfires to signify the hottest months of the year.
Here’s a look at what you can do during the Midsummer Fire Festival.
Tending the Flames
In order to ensure that the bonfires continue burning long into the days and nights of the celebration, Flamekeepers seek the aid of able explorers. Players can join in and travel all over Azeroth, delving into dangerous dungeons at the Flamekeepers’ behest and getting some goodies for themselves in the process.
Dancing Around the Ribbon Pole
Up for some pole dancing? A Ribbon Pole will stand tall beside the bonfire at every festival camp. Players can grab one of the multi-colored ribbons that adorn the pole and dance up a storm, getting some resistance to heat in the process.
By Fire Be Blessed!
Touching the firepits scattered across the land will cleanse an individual of nearly all ailments for the price of a few singed fingers. Players who happen to have some burning blossoms can also get a pretty good buff once they toss the blossoms into the fire: the resulting flare will bless them – and perhaps the entire area – with greater prowess on the field.
Fire in the Sky
Finally, the Midsummer Fire Festival traditionally ends with a fireworks show courtesy of the goblins of Undermine. Be sure to check it out.
Remember, the Midsummer Fire Festival will run from today, June 21, until July 5. Plenty of time to try out all the fun stuff to do during the event. Keep checking back here on QJ.NET’s WoW blog for more news and updates.
