X06 quick recap
Based on word from the press (this means this is official folks), we’ve compiled together this list of “stuff” we’ve got so far from Microsoft‘s X06. Curious? Okay, here we go!
Halo, Peter Jackson, and the folks at Bungie – A partnership has been announced between Peter Jackson (as well as his crew) and Microsoft Game Studios. Apparently, they’re set to create two new interactive entertainment series for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live.
The first will be a a collaborative effort between Jackson’s crew and Bungie to create the next great chapter in the Halo Universe. This could be the reported movie, or it could be another Halo game that will be based on the upcoming movie.
The second will be original Jackson property targeted at bringing new audiences into what they call, “the world of interactive entertainment.” In addition to those two, Microsoft Game Studios will team up with Jackson and crew to establish Wingnut Interactive. Bungie on the other hand, announced Halo Wars, an RTS based on the Halo universe. The game is reportedly designed by Ensemble Studios, the guys responsible for Age of Empires.
The Arcades – The phenomenal shooter DOOM, Contra, Heavy Weapon, TotemBall, and the classic Sensible World of Soccer will be available at the Xbox Live Arcade.
More stuff from Ubisoft, and some news on an MMO for the Xbox 360 after the jump.
