Following Microsoft‘s previous announcement that they would be hosting an Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation demo in their annual E3: Bringing it Home, it seems plenty of fans took them up on the offer. The company’s sent out a press wire announcing that since its first week on Xbox Live, Namco Bandai‘s flight sim demo for the Xbox 360 has already exceeded 500,000 in downloads. This marks it as the most heavily downloaded content on XBL during the said event.

Heavy demands aside, Microsoft further announced that the Ace Combat 6 demo received generally favorable reviews from other gaming sites. For the guys eagerly waiting until Ace Combat 6 (and all its trimmings) sorties into retail this October 23, the free download is still up for grabs over at XBL.
