If you had problems logging on to Xbox Live last Christmas, and you were thinking that there must be something wrong with your Live account or console, then don’t worry. There weren’t any problems with your Microsoft Xbox 360, your ISP, or your router. It’s been reported that what caused the downtime and intermittent connection issues was the major influx of log-ins over Xbox Live from new Xbox 360 owners.
With the possibility that a lot of people bought their loved ones brand new Microsoft Xbox 360s last Christmas, a large number of new XBL accounts could’ve also been created. This would’ve presented Microsoft with the daunting task of handling all of these new accounts which could’ve significantly bogged down the system and led to a lot of 360 owners experiencing Live problems.
