XBLA gets Rock Band DLC next week, PS3 a week later

Harmonix has announced that a Rock Band downloadable content will be available over at Xbox Live next week. Sony PlayStation 3 owners though may have to wait a bit more to get their chance to get the DLC. Details at the full article.

MTV Games appears to be keeping strong as developer Harmonix reveals that a Rock Band (Playstation 3, Xbox 360) downloadable content is going to be made available over at Xbox Live next week for the holidays. But owners of Sony PlayStation 3s will have to wait a bit more as the Rock Band DLC for the PS3 won’t be made available until a week after.

The reason? According to a Harmonix developer, Sony offices will be closed for a week in light of the Christmas holiday. Because of this, the release of the downloadable content will be postponed until the end of Sony’s brief hiatus. But, Microsoft Xbox 360 owners are assured that the DLC will still be made available over at Xbox Live as scheduled.

An entire week may be a long wait for some, but the wait may be worth it to get down to some serious rocking and head banging this holiday season.
