Microsoft‘s not dragging their feet to confirming this particular rumor. Only a few days after news broke out of an ad pointing to a new Xbox 360 802.11n adapter, Microsoft has now confirmed that it is indeed real, and has shared a few more nuggets of info about it.
News of the new adapter first came out via the Italian site MondoXbox, which hosted an ad for the Gears of War 2 Game of the Year Edition, with a suspicious-looking inset photo of a new adapter.
While they were surreptitiously quiet about the release date and pricing of the said adapter, what they did reveal was that it will allow gamers to “seamlessly connect with their home network with the wireless ‘N’ technology.” For them, the new Xbox 360 802.11n adapter is going to be yet another option for the consumers.
Having cleared that Rumor tag out of the way, Microsoft advises all to stay tuned as they are set to reveal more details “soon.”
