Xbox 360 alone In its own Phantasy Star Universe?
After reading the report about Sega’s Phantasy Star having another installment titled Phantasy Star Universe for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 2, speculations about the game having a collaborative online play link-up between the three aforementioned platforms were spreading like a Gremlin thrown in a pool of water. Well apparently, at least according to the latest reports (or should I say “rumors”), Xbox 360 owners will once again be left out in the cold.
The assumption about the link-up first came out after word of PS2 and PC versions having a “connection” leaked. It was then presumed by not a few gamers (ok, most of them were hopeful 360 users) that MS’ next-gen console would be thrown into the mix, thus paving the way for online interaction between Phantasy-natics worldwide regardless of their preferred platform. However, while it’s all green for the link-up of PS2 and PC servers, Xbox 360 is set to enjoy the game independently via Xbox Live! This means there’ll be a separate Phantasy Star Universe exclusive (I’m trying my best to look at the bright side) for Xbox 360 owners.
