Xbox 360 Cam – Chat, Face Maps….And Surveillance?

eHomeUpgrade has posted an idea to arrange an array of cameras around a home and use the Xbox 360 and the 360 cam as the hub.
Possible uses:

• The hardcore gamer – alone taking care of your baby child – the child goes to take a nap and instead. Was that the baby waking up, or just a noise while he/she slept? Just pause your game, go into the Guide menu and take a look at how you’re baby’s doing via the camera you placed in their room without getting off the couch.

• Nobody suspects the game console – Think somebody’s stealing from you? Set up a 360 cam and a 360 where you think they’re stealing – they’ll never know.

• General monitoring – Don’t have a home security system? The 360 could potentially serve as a basic system for your security needs.

Remember this is just an idea of potential uses of the 360 camera, no security package has yet been officially announced.
