Xbox 360 Controller for the OSX?

Microsoft's XBox 360 Controller now works with Apple's OSX all because Colin Munro cared enough to do something about it. He created a homebrew USB driver which allows the 360 Controller to operate on an OSX machine. The driver includes a plugin for the Apple Force Feedback Framework, which means some games will be able to activate it. The USB driver reveals a standard game pad with a number of standard controls.

Theoretically, any game that supports gaming devices should work. Some games, however, may require manufacturer update or patches. The games that do work, according to those who have test-driven it, are MacMAME, Halo 1.5, and Jammin' Racer.

The Driver disk image contains an installer, which when run will install the driver. It also has a Preference Pane to control it. The Preference Pane can be used to test if everything was correctly installed. Check the Readme file for the full details on installation, usage, and possible "weirdness" that may crop up.
