Xbox 360 drive and gamertag for sale on eBay?

We’re not sure where to put this little tidbit, but if we had a “Really Strange” category, this would probably be in there, under the “eBay weirdness” subheading. Someone who supposedly has the top gamertag in the world is selling his Xbox 360 hard drive, along with the gamertag “RANCE6” and his accumulated saves and points, on eBay.

His reason? “I am selling cause PS3 coming out,” he writes.

We’re just not really sure what to think. The way he puts it makes us wonder if he means that RANCE6 is the top Xbox Live player in the world (possible), just the first one to ever get a gamertag (unlikely), or just the first person in the world to grab the gamertag “RANCE6” (uh…).

Strangely enough, it actually has 19 bids as of this writing, and is currently going for $ 5,000 US. It’s the bidder’s prerogative to bid that much if he wants to, but the buyer must always learn to be cautious, unless he wants to lose a ton of money. Let us know your thoughts on the matter, alright?
