Xbox 360 ‘Good Day, Bad Day’ Ads
We all know Japan to be a place of innovation – whether it be gaming innovation or weird contraptions such as the Nose paper (a wearable tissue dispenser), the Tamagotchi, and the Butter Stick Type (imagine a glue stick, then replace the glue with butter). It’s apt to say that for a product to be a big hit in Japan, their ads should be different to the extent of being definite eye-catchers – just like Japanese innovations themselves.
Like these two Xbox 360 commercials which are titled, “Good Day, Bad Day”, currently running in Japan as a promotional tool for the limited edition Fifa 2006 bundle. Since our Japanese ain’t that good, all we can do is speculate on what in the world these commercials are trying to say… Maybe everytime Team Japan wins a World Cup match, the “Good Day” (right video) Xbox 360 commercial will be aired. And everytime they loss a match, the “Bad day” (left video) ads will hit the airwaves, it could also be aired if for example, a football referee ejects a player… Anything is possible! What do you think about these commercials?
