Xbox 360 Hitting New Territories

The European Xbox head, Chris Lewis says that the Xbox 360 will soon be launching in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South Africa by the end of 2008. Launching in new areas will be a key part of Microsoft’s strategy to try and top Sony and Nintendo in the next-gen console wars. Lewis says that Russia, Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic are key areas. The Xbox 360 will be in mainstream retailers as well as specialty stores. A new version of Xbox Live will also be tailored for the countries so that citizens may communicate in their own language instead of English. Along with this, helplines will be established, much like the Nintendo Power Help Lines of the 90s.
