The tipster stated that the XBLA is going to “smash Nintendo’s Virtual Console to pieces”  with the help of MAME. Microsoft might be releasing a legal MAME emulator where gamers can pay to get their favorite retro game packs. The source also mentioned that SEGA will be hopping on the XBLA bandwagon, although he didn’t say what exactly they would be bringing. All of this is strictly rumors just for now, but it seems like it would be a great business move for all parties involved. The XBLA has brought in loads of money, especially from titles like Geometry Wars, so I don’t see why SEGA or MAME would seem unreasonable.
