Xbox Live: Atari’s Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe out tomorrow

Atari‘s classic arcade game Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe will be hitting Xbox Live tomorrow. Atari described the next-gen adaptation as having “updated, beautifully rendered high definition graphics.”

These two games are part of the Atari Classics collection that will be coming to Xbox Live.

These two games are part of the Atari Classics collection that will be coming to Xbox Live. In case you don’t remember (or weren’t already born back then), Asteroids is a fun (and often frustrating) game where you have to control a spaceship and shoot down, well… asteroids.

The asteroids will break down into smaller pieces and you have to hit them as well until they disappear from the screen. You have to do this while avoiding a collision. The game will also feature “Throttle Monkey” mode.

The game will be available for 400 MS points.
